  • Where are the Galapagos Islands?
    The Galapagos Islands are one more Ecuadorian province, located 600 miles (1000 km) west of the Ecuadorian continent on the Pacific Ocean. They lie directly on the Equator.

  • Where is Ecuador?
    Ecuador is located in South America and it limits to Colombia: to the North, Peru to the East and South and the Pacific Ocean to the West.

  • How do we get there?
    Comercial Carriers like Continental, Delta, American and LAN Airlines have daily flights from different cities of United States. Iberia, KLM and LAN have also daily flights from different countries in Europe. We highly recommend to our clients to purchase international tickets over the internet directly from the airline websites since they will be able to offer you fare rates and sometimes with excellent promotions.

  • How do we get to Galapagos from Quito or Guayaquil?
    Quito is the capital of the country and has the most important airport. TAME and Aerogal, as the leading domestic airlines have daily flights to Baltra and San Cristobal in the Galapagos Islands.

  • What is the weight restriction in flights to the Galapagos Islands?
    You are allowed to bring 20 kilos / 44 pounds in the luggage you check with the airline plus a hand bag, carry on or back pack. If you exceed this weight some fees will be charged. Notice that you can leave some extra luggage at the hotel you are staying or at our office.

  • When do we have to pay?
    Once you have decided to take a tour with us a first deposit is necessary to confirm spaces in your cruise, local airlines, hotel nights and other services which usually depends on the type of tour and itinerary you are booking. The balance is due 60 days prior departure.

  • What form of payment do you accept?
    Payment may be made by international wire transfer or bank deposit in our account in United States.

  • What level of guides will we have in Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands?
    We are proud to have Naturalists category three Guides in the Galapagos Islands (the best level of guides) who are highly experienced and trained by the Ecuador’s Ministry of Agriculture and the Charles Darwin Research Station who also have a degree in Biology or Environmental Science; they are extremely fluent in English and some other languages.

    Our Tour Guides in main land Ecuador are authorized and licensed by the Ecuador’s Ministry of Tourism, with many years of experience leading groups all over the country in cultural, ecological and adventure tours. Most of our guides speak a 100% level of English, French and German.

  • Do we have to exchange any money before we travel to Ecuador or once in the Country?
    Not if you have US dollars. Ecuador has adopted US dollars as its official currency since 1999.

  • What should we bring to Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands?
    * Bags / Totes

    * Casual attire for dining
    * Long sleeved cotton shirts and T-shirts
    * Fats drying slacks

    * Sweater for cooler months
